What is 8020REI?
8020REI is a pioneering B2B data and SaaS platform that empowers professional real estate investors to generate consistent leads from Cold Call, SMS, and Direct Mail without spending more. We leverage AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics to identify homeowners likely to sell at a discount, and we use a proven strategy to maximize our clients' ROI. As part of our network, we also operate alongside three sister companies: DMForce, 8020Recruit, and 8020CRM, each contributing specialized services to the real estate sector.
Core Values at 8020REI:
Find a Better Way: We dig until we understand the real problem, then improve or innovate to solve it. Focused on the 20% that drives the biggest result.
Have Each Other's Back: We work as a team. We support, step in, and go the extra mile to create a great experience for each other and our clients.
Honor Your Word: We honor our promises, hold ourselves accountable, and do the right thing even when nobody’s looking.
Own Your Growth: We're obsessed with personal growth and take pride in the work we deliver. Intrinsically motivated, we hold ourselves to a high standard and never coast.
Bring Your A-Game: We take care of our recovery, health, and family time, and that’s why we show up focused, energized, and ready to perform at our best.
🎯 Role Overview
As our SDR Manager, you run our sales team and you build the system it sells inside. You lead the SDRs who open the conversations, you work alongside the Account Executives who close them, and you own the number the team produces.
You will be hiring and coaching reps, running the 1:1s and the call reviews, and building the machine underneath them: the dialer, the outreach sequences, the prospect list, the CRM discipline, and the reporting that says which stage is losing deals and why.
This is a hands-on seat. You run the 1:1s and the call reviews yourself, and you get on the phone with the live list every week. There is no layer between you and the reps, which is the point: you'll know exactly why the number is what it is.
💡 Key Responsibilities:
This role is about owning a team and the system behind it. Parts of this are still to be built, and building them is the job.
• Lead the SDR Team: Every SDR is yours: their number, their ramp, their development. You coach off their own recordings, not off a scoreboard, working one habit at a time and closing it out on a later call before starting the next. You hire, you decide who makes it, and keeping the reps worth keeping is part of the job.
• Own the Number: You carry your team's number, from first touch through to qualified pipeline. Booked calls that don't get held, and meetings that don't survive qualification, are a miss and not a result. You own that number and you report it, with the reasons behind it, every week.
• Own the Three Channels: Cold calling, email, and LinkedIn. That is the job, and it is deliberately narrow. Email and LinkedIn are underbuilt today, so expect to rebuild rather than maintain.
• Build the Systems: The dialer, the outreach sequences, the CRM, the reporting, the tooling. You set them up, you fix them when they break, and you decide what the team spends its budget on. This is a builder's seat as much as a manager's.
• Know Why the Numbers Move: When something slips, you can say whether it was the list, the script, the process, or the rep, and you bring the evidence. A diagnosis, not a dashboard link.
• Protect What Reaches the Closers: You work with our Account Executives on what a qualified deal looks like, and you own the quality of what your team hands them.
• Use AI Where It Actually Wins: You scale the repetitive parts with the tools available and you test where AI genuinely beats a person, instead of assuming it either way.
• Stay Call-Ready: No personal quota, but you work the live list every week and you personally run a new script before handing it to the team. A leader who hasn't worked the list can't coach the list.
• Keep the Tank Full: You set the spec for the prospect list and hold the bar on quality, so the team never runs out of the right people to call.
✅ Qualifications
• Experience: 4 to 7 years in B2B sales, with at least 2 years managing reps. You've run a cold-calling team, not just been on one.
• Industry Fit: You've sold in B2B, SaaS, or another niche industry where the buyer is a specific kind of operator and the addressable list is finite. Broad consumer or commodity selling is a different job and it does not transfer here.
• Built the System, Not Just Run It: You've stood up the machine your team sells inside, the dialer, the sequences, the CRM discipline, the reporting, and can walk through what you changed and what it did to the numbers. This is the bar.
• Hands-On Depth: Real depth in at least two of cold calling, email, and LinkedIn, shown not claimed. Outreach you personally built and ran, not work you approved or handed to an agency. Two done well beats passing familiarity with all three.
• Thinks in Unit Costs: You can say what a booked call cost you in a previous seat and what you did to move it. You don't need to have run a P&L, but you should be the kind of manager who knows what the team's activity actually buys.
• Coaches From the Recording: "At 4:12 you asked a closed question, here's the open one, here's why he shut down." Not "be more energetic."
• Holds the Line: You can tell a rep the number isn't there, on the day it isn't there, in plain words, and still have the relationship next week.
• Manages by Numbers: You know your team's conversion at every stage without opening a report, and you catch a dip in days.
• Native-Level Spoken English: A hard requirement. You'll coach tone and delivery on live U.S. cold calls, and you can't coach a bar you can't hit.
Nice to have:
Experience working alongside or managing closers.
Sales teams built in more than one industry, with a clear account of what had to change between them.
Knowledge of Salesmate, Koncert, Instantly, or Clay. Having taken a rep from zero to quota. Having built a sales function from scratch rather than inheriting one.
Experience selling into contractors or the trades.
Why Join Us?
At 8020REI you'll be building the sales engine, not inheriting one. The team, the process, and the systems are yours, with a real budget behind you and the autonomy to decide what gets scaled, fixed, or cut. Most seats like this hand you a machine and ask you to run it a little better. This one hands you the whole problem and gets out of your way. If you want a role where the funnel is yours end to end and the results are unmistakably yours, this is it.
